Electric Boiler Service +rejony+
If you live in +rejony+ and have an electric boiler at your premises, you’ve probably realised that it’s highly reliable. Whether you have an electric boiler in your home, or you’re responsible for a larger building such as a school, office block or hospital, electric boilers provide excellent continuity of service and can usually be relied upon to remain free of faults for an extended period of time. That doesn’t mean you can guarantee that your electric boiler will not require servicing or repairs, however.
Unlike gas boilers or oil filled ones, electric boilers are less likely to suffer from problems relating to burning fuel like a build up of carbon. On top of that, they also boast better environmental credentials and are very efficient. It’s because of these reasons that more and more business owners and residents in +rejony+ and beyond have turned to electric boilers to provide all of their heating needs. Should the unexpected occur and your electric boiler starts to fail, it’s essential that you use an experienced, qualified and licensed professional to diagnose the problem with your boiler and make any necessary repairs.
With an electric boiler, the fault could be because of the electrical supply. It could also be down to a faulty pump or a leaking pipe. Alternatively, an electrical component could be failing. Direct electric and electric storage boilers
We work with both direct electric and electric storage boilers. Direct electric boilers are a type of combi boiler and work on demand by heating the water as and when it’s needed. With electric storage boilers, however, the water is first heated and is then stored in a tank so it can be used later. A common problem that occurs with electric storage boilers is that they use more parts, and as is the case with most boilers, the more parts you use the more chance there is of leaks. The good news is that when it comes to electric boilers, most parts are generally easy to replace, meaning repairs are usually hassle-free and can be carried out quickly, minimising the impact on your day.
Signs your electric boiler may be faulty
Remember the best way to guard against a faulty electric boiler is by getting an electric boiler service. If, however, you suspect your electric boiler may already be faulty, we’ve put together some warning signs to look out for. These faults can occur at any time and can result in your boiler not working correctly. Failure to resolve them quickly could mean the damage is severe, and can even cause safety issues.
To avoid going through the costly process of replacing your boiler and installing a new one, it’s vital that you call us if you spot any of the following issues. Even if they aren’t serious, the problems can end up costing you lots of money in water and electric bills, especially if your water is metered.
Water dripping into Tundish
If you notice water dripping into your Tundish, be sure to check your Tundish to see if the water is discharging. If it is, then it’s highly likely that the safety valve has opened, this will usually be because of too much pressure within the unit or too much heat. If after you’ve twisted the black or red cap on the pressure relief valve the water is still discharging, be sure to contact us.
Water flowing into Tundish quickly
Another common problem is the water disappearing into the Tundish. If possible, you can inspect the expansion vessel, which can usually be found on the wall next to the electric boiler. Give the side of the vessel a tap with a spanner. If it makes a dull sound to suggest it’s full of air or full of water, it’s likely that the vessel will need to be replaced. Whatever you do, don’t try and replace the parts yourself. Instead, give us a call and a member of our qualified team will undertake any required repair work.
No hot water in +rejony+
An obvious problem could be no hot water. If your power and programmers are switched on and calling for heat, it’s possible that the elements and thermostats will need replacing.
Other problems may include not enough hot water or the water pressure being too high. In both instances, it’s likely that you’ll require replacement parts such as valves or a pressure reducer. Remember, you can give us a call at any time if you’re worried about your boiler and our expert +rejony+ based team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
